Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello,

I was just recently accepted into the BSN transfer program at MSMU-LA. I wanted to know if there's any graduate or former students that went to this program that can tell me more information regarding their experience at the school. I applied in order to be able to do my clinical at UCLA Health and wanted to know if it's possible for me to do so. Am I able to choose the clinical site I want to be at or will it be given to me randomly? I also wanted to know how much of private loans did you have to take out? Maybe any tips and tricks you would like to share with me. I really appreciate any info you give me and hope to have a good experience here as well! Thank you.

hi, congrats on getting into the program! Firstly, no you can't choose your clinical placements, it's simply random however, the majority of nursing students will have a rotation or two through UCLA since it's such a large hospital a lot of the students end up getting placement there at least for one semester if your lucky maybe more:) Theres also other great hospitals that MSMU partners with such as USC keck, Providence, Kaiser, Valley presbyterian, and more. Hope this helps.
