Mount Saint Mary's ABSN Fall 2018

Updated:   Published

Hi Everyone! I just want to start a thread for people who applied for MSMU's ABSN Program fall admission this year! We can keep each other updated here. ?

I am not even on the application system. I know I applied and I know that they have my info because I have been in contact with Agasia, but I am not longer able to access the portal where I applied.

How did you receive the notice? Was it via email?

I think I would. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Do you think I should notify them that I will be out of town next week? In case, they will ask for an interview or is it only this week that they are interviewing and decisions are next week?

Sorry it posted twice. So I should let them know? @susana4280

@puppylove33 Definitely let them know. Not only does it give the correct impression that this process is a priority, but it also demonstrates courtesy. Good luck!

I definitely agree with Susana!

The wait is excruciating >.

Yeah, I decided to cancel a trip I had planned for this weekend in order to make it to the interview.

i was told the decisions are going out this week ("week of the 18th").

Hello everyone!

Hi there! Looking at the schedule they had on the info session, how did you survive? With 2-3 clinical per week and lecture, how wee the assignments? Care plans? Any tips/suggestions?

When you start this program one of your professors will tell you "You will get a nursing degree with a minor in time management."

The best advice I can give you is to know your strengths. Do you work better in groups or individually? How do you best study? Personally, I have never been a "front to back" reader. Once you get in the groove of things you will know each instructors testing style and what they look for. Recognize that exams will test you based on: sign/symptoms, nursing interventions, and when to stop and call a doctor.

Hope this helps :)
