Motlow (MSCC) Acceptance 2016

Published

I know we still have about 3.5 months, but figured I'd post this year since I've been stalking last years! I'm nervous, been going through a divorce around the time of HESI and did not do as great as I wanted. My GPA is 3.7 (as of Fall 2015) and current HESI is 83% (I plan on taking it through MTSU again before the due date in January). Anyone else applied for Spring 2016? At this point my score is 693/800, but again I plan on retaking the HESI. Just seeing where everyone is! Any and all information would be awesome! I'm hoping to get in at the McMinnville Campus since it's only a 20 minute drive. Also, if anyone can give me information like how many days a week, etc. that would be amazing!

I'm so worried about getting in! I wish I would have known I could pay for it in January and take the test later. I was under the impression that the scores had to be transferred by the last business day in January! :nailbiting: I'm still keeping my hopes up, but I'm gonna start planning alternatives as well! The A&P portion was definitely the most difficult section! I bought the book suggested (the online version), and there were questions on the HESI not listed in the book. I'm wanting to think there were 50-65 questions for the A&P section. I would also suggest studying the vocabulary section.

I'm glad I found this thread. I was also looking over the other threads as well to see what kind of requirements could be expected. I just took my HESI in February and am waiting patiently to find out about an acceptance in April. I sure am hoping for one. I have a 3.8 GPA and made a 94 on the HESI. The A&P part was definitely the hardest part. Even the study guide did not help on those questions. Next to that was the reading, only because it was really boring subject material in parts. I left both of those for the end of the test. I'm hoping for a spot at the Moore campus because it is really close to where I live. When looking at the syllabus for each class on the website, it looks like we are going to have to purchase a ton of books. I just wanted to say good luck to everyone. We don't have much longer, but it is probably going to feel like forever waiting one more month.

Im so excited I found this thread!! I applied for the 2016 Fall program and hope to be accepted and go to Smyrna campus as well. I made an 88 on Hesi and 3.91 as GPA so far. A & P dropped my score drastically on the test even though i had an A in both A&P I and II. If a couple of us get accepted, is there a FB page we can follow and talk? I wouldnt mind setting one up for the incoming 2016 class " If I accepted of course, and I really hope I do!"

Do you know if they will email us April 1st or just randomly in April?

I'm so nervous since mine is the lowest score so far as I haven't finished AP II yet (taking currently) so that brought my HESI score down :nailbiting: but hopefully we'll all make it! I'm not sure when in April it gets sent out. Also, a facebook page would be awesome! Not much longer until we find out, though!

From reading the other threads in the past, it was just some time randomly in April. I think one of the threads I read, they had some kind of postponement issues and didn't find out until May. I think that was last year's class. Hopefully our's will be closer to the beginning of April. The waiting part is the worst. :)

Joy - My scores are pretty darn close to yours. My gpa is a 4.0 and I got an 87 on my Hesi - my A&P section dropped my score :( I'm really hoping to get in and go to the Smyrna campus. Good luck to you!

Just took my HESI last Thursday. I made an 83 and have a 4.0 GPA which comes out to 715. I am taking A&P I and II this summer semester (hopefully online). Like you all, I am desperately wanting to get accepted into the program! Any advice for when I take A&P I and II?

Be prepared for this online! I took A&P I in person, which I loved. But I feel that it would be very difficult online. Since I can only take night classes currently, I had to take A&P II online because they cancelled the only offered night class at McMinnville Campus. Just be prepared for all the material! With A&P I in person it would take 10-12 extra hours outside of class to do well studying. Online it isn't as much studying, but I feel like I haven't learned as much.

Thanks! I, too, am only able to take night/online classes right now due to working full time. I am having to take A&P I the first half of the summer semester then A&P II the second half. It doesn't look as though they offered this structure of A&P I & II in the summer semester last year online. Which means I would have to take it during the day if they don't offer it this way this year. Need to keep working full time as long as possible! :dead:

I took A&P 1 online during the summer 2 years ago and A&P 2 online during that next fall semester. That was the only way I could sign up for it too because I couldn't get there during the day every day. They didn't have them both online back to back then either. Online was tough, but it can be done. :)
