Motivational quotes that helps(ed) fellow nursing students

Published

Hello!

I am a sophomore in University at Buffalo and I am currently studying for my upcoming tests :( Does anyone have any motivational quotes that they use to go through their school day or even for tests(or stressful events)? I'm in a great need for motivation right now lol. Thanks!

"If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you"

I always use that one when I'm struggling during a challenging work out. :)

The one that has stuck with me is, "You can do hard things." I always repeat that to myself when my anxiety is getting the best of me.

Also, in a similar vein, which you will need to remember when agreeing to doing certain extracurricular activities that you may regret and suddenly you end up with 4 jobs (oops), "You can do anything, but you can't do everything."

If you get to feeling overwhelmed, always remember, someone busier than you (usually your instructors) is doing such and such. I use that one when my brain tries to get me out of a work out. "Someone busier than you is running right now." Yup. That'll do then.

The one that helps me the most is " Don't let this BREAK you, but may this be your BREAKTHROUGH."

I was close to the bottom of my class (high C's) and it was really discouraging me knowing I was one of the lowest scores on almost every test. One of my teachers pulled me aside and said "You know what they call the person who graduates last in the class?" "What?" I replied. "Nurse. Now go out there, do the best you can and don't worry about the others."

This is great. Bless that instructor!
