Mother n law in stage 4 liver cancer

Question. My mother n law was diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer and it is now in her liver (stage 4 liver cancer), in the pancreas and stomach. The cancer in her liver is 14cm. Also, she was in stage 4 liver failure until they placed a stent in her liver which did change her to a stage 2 liver failure but we were told this was only a temporary fix. Hospice is with us and we were told last week she had 4-5 days before passing.

Now, she is up without oxygen, going up and down the stairs, shelling peas, everything you would see in a healthy person. My wife and her now think she may be getting better. Dr's stopped the chemo because after 6 weeks of treatment, it had not reduced the cancer or stopped the progression. Is this normal? If so, how long might she have this rush of energy before crashing. July 28 will be one week of excellent health after we were told death was imminent by the hospice nurse.

One can only hope she is indeed improving!
