What is the math modeling class? Is that algebra? OR would algebra transfer for it? Just trying to figure out what all I can take before I Get there.

I took the math modeling. I actually enjoyed the class, but I am one of those weird people who like math. I think the Algebra class will count also. The class has Algebra in it and also real world type calculations ei: calculating interest rates using formulas and graphing. I would also look into a new rule for Mathmatic modeling(starts fall 2005), regarding whether it works for future Math classes as a prereq.
Good Luck!

For the nursing program you can take math modeling or any math HIGHER than math modeling. College Algebra is a higher math and that is what I transferred in to satisfy the math requirements. If you haven't taken either, I heard that math modeling is a little easier. Good luck!

I took both math modeling and statistics. Math modeling was not bad at all. My advice is to get all the prereqs finished before starting the program. I believe it is less stress if all you have to focus on is the nursing courses. Good luck!

I completely agree, Good Luck all you NGCSU future nurses. I miss nursing school.
Then again it was a lot of work.
