Moraine Valley 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello!!

I just recently applied to the nursing program at Moraine. Classes being Spring of 2017. I'm crossing my fingers I get in!! I had an overall of 90 something points. Anyone else on my boat??

Anyone know what the schedule is like for nursing students?

Admission is point based. You get points for your GPA, point for A''s in the science pretty reqs (a &p 1/2 and micro) points if you hold other liscences/certificates (cna, lvn, emt, military medic) and your teas score (overall and science)

They add up all your points and take the top 42 applicants.

I do not hold a liscence/certificate of any kind. I have a 3.4 GPA, received an a in micro and ap1. I got an 87% on the team over all, with an 83% in science. I got in on my first try.

Hope that helps!

To apply, you need to turn in official transcripts for any other college course work you have completed, turn in copies of two proofs of residency (state ID, car insurance/payment, lease/mortgage, bills, etc...), take the teas, and turn in the nursing application checklist.

I'm not sure why I'm so nervous but I have been reading these posts and they are very helpful! I'll be applying for the Spring 2018 semester with an A in both AP 1&2 and B in micro. I have a 3.78 GPA and a CNA license. Just wondering if anyone knows what the lowest accepted grade for the 2017 semester was? Or do they not tell you that information.

I am also planning to apply to the nursing program for Spring 2018. I was wondering if anyone knew how to calculate the scores for the TEAS math and science into points so I can get a rough idea of what my total points will be when applying.

I applied to the Moraine RN program too, for Spring 2018. I have a 4.0, and have completed all 3 Biology classes. I have an EMT License. I hope that's enough to get in. Hopefully November rolls around quickly.

Did you complete biology classes or have a license for healthcare? Wondering if we can estimate your grade.
