Moorpark College ADN Fall 2024

Published

Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those who have applied to the moorpark nursing program for Fall admission! I've seen previous threads where people start receiving admission decisions in March so I thought it was appropriate time to start the thread since were reaching the end of February.

You can get these actual books. But they are saying you can also purchase an app for phone which is easier/preferred. I'll include a screenshot. They're about 40$ each and also they have an app that includes all of them for like $180. You can see the apps at bottom of screenshot. Nursing central is the one that includes all for one fee. They give two weeks free so I'm doing that as a trial before I purchase these apps.

Okay I see!! Thank you so very much! So just to ensure, I could download the Nursing Central app and it would apply and cover the cost to  textbooks #13 & #14? ☺️

Yea nursing central has those apps and many more all in one for 180 Or you can get those separate for like 40$ each. All have 2 week trial.

as for the reading, I haven't started!

Hi Everyone! For those of you who are in the program, how are you liking it? I was accepted to both VC and Moorpark and I am trying to decide which to attend! Any feedback would be appreciated! Hope you are all doing great!!

Sorry for the late response.  Both have excellent nursing programs.  So you can't go wrong. 😉 For me, Moorpark has always been my first choice.

I was an alternate student who got pulled up to start in Fall at Moorpark College. I am loving it here. The professors are great and they have many amazing resources for students. Moorpark is also closer for me than Ventura with their hospital placements as well so that factors in!

I'm MP and had to decide the same thing. I love it. Highly recommend

Awesome! Thank you so much for taking the time to give me some feedback. I appreciate it so much!

Hello all! Is Moorpark's nursing program a really good program? What is the better option between Moorpark and College of the Canyons?

I'd say Moorpark but that's just based on my experience at Moorpark. I've heard that COC is even harder and their pass rate is 80% at Moorpark it's 75. Meaning you need 75% to stay in the program. So 74 is a fail.

Thank you! I got accepted into both and I really don't know what to do. Leaning towards Moorpark. Did a lot of people drop out? Did you like the clinical sites & professors?

I heard that COC program is easier. Moorpark is one of the top nursing  schools in California.
