Montgomery College Spring 2016

Published

Hi-

Has anyone received an acceptance letter for the spring 2016 nursing program at Montgomery college?

Hi guys, I was a little confuse with the 2 step PPD. Does it mean: 1. we have to take it in between 30 days. For example, if i take it today I can take it again a week from now? or 2. If i take it today I have to take it again a month from now on Nov 28.

If its 2, since I havent taken mine how will i let them know that I still need to take another one on the form?

Thanks so much

@mikhi you take the first part, and then you must take the second one within 30 days of the first one, so 30 days is the max you can wait to get the second injection. 1 week is recommended though I believe. Where are you getting the PPD? Usually you just say "I'm back for the second part" and then they document when you got it, and then I think you go back a couple days later for them to read it

@cmblanc I'm not sure. I'm going in to get my blood drawn for my titers today and I was just thinking I'll get it then. Have you gotten yours done?

@mikhi yeah I got hired by a hospital a couple of months ago so very serendipitously for me I got all that done already I just need copies! I think I should have everything done I will just have to double chec

Hi! I just had my first ppd placed and read this week. They told me to come back next week for the second ppd. So I'm assuming it's ok to have them just one week apart.

My doctor told me that the quantiferon gold should be covered by my insurance so I'm thinking of just doing that while getting my other tests done. Has anyone done it before?

@cmblanc

I work in 4A Med/Surg. What about you? :)

@achiever67 ahaha 2A medsurg!!

Hi there-

I had a couple of questions I hope any of you all wouldn't mind answering. I was REALLY under the weather at orientation but there was no way I was not going to show up and miss my place.

1. Regarding the hepatitis B titer schedule, I think I am good to go, but considering it is a 3 step process, 1 shot, then one month later 2nd shot, then 6 months later the third shot, does anyone recall if she had said how many shots we needed to have?

2. We DO need to have our proof of insurance information turned in with our packet turned in on Nov. 23, correct?

Many thanks.

I'm not sure exactly but nobody else has answered so I'm gonna take a shot at it lol. The hep B schedule takes a while so they said you don't need all of them, but hopefully the first and second. Definitely the first one.

And I think the only thing that isn't due in the packets is the background checks and drug and alcohol screening, those are due in January I believe. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong

Thank you so much. Very much appreciated!

Hi everyone! For some reason, I cant remember where to turn in the completed health packets. Does anyone remember? Thanks!!!
