Hello fellow students! I've created this forum for people who have submitted their fall nursing school application for fall 2021 at Montgomery College in takoma Park, MD and are currently waiting to hear of their acceptance or denial into the program. Anyone out there waiting with me? How many times did you have to take the TEAS exam? I know that I've had to take the exam 2x due to my reading score being 63. Let's chat!

I am curious to know what first semester will be like. I know that they pick your classes for you, but do they pick times too? Do we start clinicals immediately? How far do they go in in miles from your home for hospitals? SO many questions.
Hey There, I am currently a MC Nursing Student, going into my 3rd semester. I can answer a few questions for you. Yes, they pick your classes for you (including the times and professors). Yes, you start clinical right away BUT with the current pandemic I am not sure if clinical will be remote or in person, I am sure during orientation they will cover that with you all. Congratulations to all of you that got accepted into the program. I am willing to answer any questions you guys may have.
Hello! Thank you for the good information! I have a question. It appears that first semester we are going to be registered for nursing 113, 113c , 114, and 121. It looks like 113, 113c are on specific days( Mondays & Tuesdays)....are we able to ask the advisors for specific time slots for the other classes? I’m a working mom and I want to at least work 2 days a week to maintain my benefits. Thank you I’m advance for your advice.

Hey, unfortunately they pick the schedule for you.

Thanks for answering all my questions! I received an orientation packet from a friend that was accepted into the program last semester. I am so worried about getting everything done by August! I have my an appointment for my physical and my POC already ordered the titers. Just so nervous to get everything done. If you don't mind me asking.. how much did you spend for your first semester? Inc. uniforms, books, titers/immunizations, classes?
