hi everyone! i recently took the TEAS V for Fall '14 at Montefiore SON (formerly Hopfer). No results yet (It wasn't on a comp so there's a wait to get my grades). Anyone else hoping to get accepted?

Every semester the class is separated into 4 groups. At least this is how they did it for Nur 1 and Nur 2 for our group. For Nur 1, we were on a few different units at Montefiore New Rochelle and Schaffer. The semester is split up into two clinical rotations and you switch locations. For Nur 2, we were at New Rochelle and Mount Vernon. They'll let you know how you're going to be split up.

Can you tell me how the parking was for clinical?

You'll get info over the summer about a parking pass. They'll give you a swipe so you can get into the school that also works as the swipe for the parking. In Mount Vernon, we usually park in the visitors parking across the street from the hospital. At New Rochelle/Schaffer, there's a lot at the bottom of the hill that you can park in.

Hi my fellow Monte nursing students. Im excited about our upcoming start date in August. Has anyone purchased books yet. I just got fundamentals books vol 1 & 2 and looked over the first 2 assigned chapters. How is everyone? Whoever is starting in August, I look forwad to meeting you.

I only purchased the 4 required books that we have reading to complete. I will purchase the others over the summer as I see good prices for them. I hunt for the lowest price before purchasing books due to newer editions always coming out. I look forward in meeting everyone soon. I'm trying to focus on getting the health assessment booklet completed. So much to do in so little time.

Hi there! There's an order form that comes w the admission packet. I faxed my order in. You can also print it out from Moodle if u want.

hi Divalish918! I bought all the required books except for the med-surg books. Got them thru amazon. I calculated it and I saved around $130, which is great considering I know i'm not the only one in a budget.

Anyone who is looking for textbooks, try the international versions. They are the same exact books with small differences such as cover type and ISBN number. You can save a ton of money with this option.
