Montefiore SON Spring 2018

Has anyone started to apply for montefiore school of nursing for the spring 2018 semester? I sent the basic application and $40 money order last week and i mailed the recommendation letter, birth certificate and diplomas today. Im waiting for hunter to mail me my transcript so i can forward it to montefiore.

i got my confirmation for 10/16 ... ill update after i take the test! ... how is studying going for you?

I have my day set for the 30th, i choose this day because i work fulltime. And i think i need the weekend for a lil breather lol. Anyone else going for the 30th?

Studying is nerve recking. Im trying to study the science portion the most . And then i will brush up on the other sections as the time gets closer

I have my test scheduled for October 27th, I am also just reviewing AP and I have been doing the reading questions in the Kaplan Practice Book. The book has been helping me understand how to break down passages and find the answers. I am not worried about the math portion that is my favorite subject but I need to figure out the best way to review for the writing portion. Any suggestion for the writing part?

Reviewing each system suggested that we study for science on the invitation using Kaplan academy, Barron's ez anatomy and physiology and quizzlet. I'm going to use the Kaplan book last to reinforce what I already know since it has poor reviews.

I am not using the Kaplan book for anything besides the Reading section, besides that it really is useless for our exam. I am not a visual learner so Khan academy/Youtube videos do not really work for me I have to read and physically write it down for it to stick so I have been using the Cliff's Notes Anataomy and Physiology Quick Review it has been really helpful. And of course Quizzlet is amazing I used that for every science pre req. I am currently taking Microbiology and Nutrition though. Two sceicne classes plus working full time and studying for the test has me on Empty but it will all be worth it!! :)

I'm working full time too and I work in a state hospital so mandatory overtime happens 2-3x per week I may check out the cliff notes a&p is it helpful ?

Yes it is very helpful it sums up each system perfectly. I got the suggestion to use this book from a person on this site and she scored in the mid 80's on the science portion of the exam. For me it is working perfectly I just write out the sections that they said are going to be covered on the exam focusing on physiology and not anatomy.

I have the same exact book for the science. I just finished writing up my own notes on each section. So its time to studyyy . I still feel like im not prepared enough. :(
