Montefiore SON Spring 2018

Has anyone started to apply for montefiore school of nursing for the spring 2018 semester? I sent the basic application and $40 money order last week and i mailed the recommendation letter, birth certificate and diplomas today. Im waiting for hunter to mail me my transcript so i can forward it to montefiore.

Hi cangilbar. I applied for January 2017 and got in and deferred for January 2018. Can you tell me a bit about your experience at Montefiore School of Nursing?

To be honest this has been the most humbling two years of my life. Nursing school is hard, extremely hard, but is doable. A lot the pressure stems from the enormous amount of reading and studying you are responsible for. Especially if you are working and have a family like myself. In MY opinion the school is a bit unorganized and things are constantly changing but hey I am already here. The best piece of advice I can give is to make friends. The ones that start with you will hopefully be the ones that end with you. You are going to need the encouragement, time to vent, time to cry , time to study and the support you get from each other. I looked at my transcript today and almost cried because I cant believe how far I have come and how quickly December will be here. Good luck!!

Hi everyone, I just sent out all of the documentation that needs to be sent in! I was looking at a letter the college sent to me about their institutional loans. I see they don't offer federal aid at his moment. Can anyone who is already in the program explain this process to me?!?!?

I sent my documentation a while ago they told me I have to take a challenge exam to get 6 credits for AP1&2 because they're expired. I'm waiting for the letter I know they usually send out for the nursing entrance exam. Good luck to everyone

I called yesterday and was told they will not be sending out any invitations to test until two weeks from now so end of August we should hear from them!!

Hey, congrats on starting Nursing 4!!! I'm applying for the spring of 2018 and I'm working on getting my recommendation letter. Do you have any idea if they call or check the references for the letter? I can either ask my current employer or my past one. I just want to know if they'll call for sure so I know which one to go with. I'm thinking past employer if the'll call because I worked there for years and he'll has more to say about me but getting a letter from him might be a hassle since he's a super busy physician. I've only been at my current job for 2 months but they'll give me a letter if I want. Thank you!
