Has anyone applied or begun their application process for MSON Spring 2022 Evening program?

Hey, 

I finally got confirmation that MSON received my application, I got an invitation to test by 10/8... However, I already forwarded my scores from a previous attempt in May, I wonder if I should just re-test? 

How did you do on the test?!?

oh and I didn't apply to Cochran going to look into it though, I might be missing a pre-req for them ?

Not sure exactly how long it takes to find out if your in.. but from reading other forums its looking like late Oct to early Nov??

Have you taken the TEAS yet?

oh thats great! I guess they are giving everyone different deadlines. I actually think your score is really good, take a look at the score report and make sure your science score is strong I’ve been told thats what they look at the most. 

I didn’t do as well as I wanted on my TEAS so I’m going to call and see if I can retest ?

Yess I took the TEAS and I’m retaking it 9/20 …I am so nervous but I really want to get in

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone is on the same situation as me. I see that a few of you are talking about retaking the TEAS, I took my TEAS test on the 14th and had a pretty good grade. I sent my transcripts but today I received a call saying they are only accepting the TEAS first attempt. I took the TEAS for the first time back in 2016 for the LPN program and eventhough my grade was enough to get into the LPN program I don't think it will be high enough to get into MSON. I'm confused since I thought they wouldn't take a TEAS test that was taken over a year a go. Can anyone clarify?

I took the TEAS exam prior to the 17th thinking they needed the results by then. It was pretty much rushed. I received at 72 (which I don’t think is good enough to get in) and sent that over to the school so they can have it by the deadline. On the 17th I received an email stating that the deadline would now be October 8th. I took the exam again yesterday and received an 81.3. I am going to be very upset if they are only accepting the first attempt because I was notified on the 17th of the later date! I didn’t receive a call but I hope everything works out. I don’t think that would be fair and I will be reaching out to the school voicing my concern. When did you send them your score?

They told me the deadline was on the 17th so I rushed to schedule it and took the exam on the 14th. I got an 88 but that was my third attempt. I also took it on 2016 and 2019 for 2 different reasons. But when they called me today they daid they can only take my first attempt from 2016 and I got like a 60 on that one. 60 is proficient but im sure is not enough to get into mson

Hi ladies!

 

I agree with PP I called to see if I could retake it but they said the dean only accepts the first attempt and they would know how many times you’ve attempted. It sucks but They told me there are no exceptions ?

It's sad but also strange since usually for nursing school you need to have a TEAS test within a year for it to be valid. I would think an entrance exam from 5 years a go would be considered outdage but well.... I wish they have told me that so I didn't have to take it again and waste money. Also when I sent my transcripts I only sent the one for my last attempt so I don't know if they can see my grade from the previous attempts.

Hi All,

I also rushed my exam and received the later TEAS deadline.  I’m a bit upset about it.  I scored a 68.  I’ve never taken it before.  I did email to inquire about re-testing due to the deadline change and received the same response as others.  They will only accept the first attempt.  I’m bummed because I could have had 3 more weeks to study!!  I don’t think my score is good enough (some of you did amazing!!) and Montefiore was my number one option for an evening program.

That was my number 1option as well I just can’t believe this. That is so unorganized… Why would u send an email the day of stating there’s a new date ??‍♀️??‍♀️
