Montefiore school of nursing jan 2017

Published

Hello everyone I am applying to montefiore for the Jan 2017. Is there anyone in the process of applying?

Hi everyone. Im attending the open house they have tomorrow. Im an LPN and was doing the online route but im becoming very Unmotivated and stressed trying to learn it all on my own. I think I need a professor and classroom even tho i work and have a family and have used that as an excuse for putting off going back to school all these years....but now i just have to buckle up and DO IT

anyways my plan is to go straight to BSN. Montefiore is partnered with Mercy college to do this and im headed over there to find out how this works. It may be longer but heck i put it off long enough i might as well go straight to it while im still in "school" mode

Hello,

Mercy is the sister school to Montefiore. Yes they do have a track to go straight to Mercy but honestly you can do that with any school that has a RN to BSN track option and for much cheaper. I see post grads doing the online option at other schools. While attending Montefiore they will have plenty of college nights where you can meet with other schools for options. I will be at the 6pm open house if you have any questions.

MY DAY 0!!!! LOL

oh great! thanks for the info.

I'm assuming you guys have taken or are taking the KAT test soon. I got an 85 and some of the people I spoke to were in the 70s so if you're in that range you have a good chance.

I am! I just finished all my pre-reqs and waiting upon my final offical transcript.

Hi every1! I'm graduating from montefiore next wk. I wish every1 luck! If u any1 has any questions feel free to ask.

I was researching the Kaplan exam. Many said the science portion is a lot of A&P. Do you have any pointers? Thanks!!!

Good Luck to you :)

Hi there! I took the TEAS n the science part was a mix of life science to A&P. Basic stuff we learn in high school. Not so sure about Kaplan.

I took the TEAS too but the school I took it for discontinued their night program. Thank you though :)

Hi! I just recently applied for Fall 2016 and was accepted! Personally, I found the science section to be the most difficult. Science was my lowest score. Definitely know all the systems in the body. I think it is important to know their functions. A lot of the questions are based on things you've learned in A&P.

I hope that was helpful! :)

Oh congrats jloricee!!! Yes thank you it was very helpful. Do you know the test score range they look for?

what books did you use to study....congrats by the way
