Montefiore school of nursing jan 2017

Published

Hello everyone I am applying to montefiore for the Jan 2017. Is there anyone in the process of applying?

Yh am also studying the science part they said that's the difficult part. Sofiesnurese when r u taking yr eaxm?

Just chiming in I just took the teas and completely crashed the exam.. I did well on science and math but language and reading not so great. So definitely will be going harder. Does anyone know if the school looks at just science or the overall score

Sorry just read previous post... ugg so nervous I'm not paying attention! Lol

I took the teas too. I bombed science. The teas science was so broad. I had 90% chemistry on mine. From what i have read the kaplan is all physiology with cardiovascular as a topic. Soo im studying all systems. Im very nervous as well.

thanks for some guidance, i will def focus on those areas first and foremost. And yes the teas was all over the place on the science section from genetics, meiosis, the systems, chemistry, and more..WE GOT THIS THOUGH!!!

I hope my research was accurate lol. And yes we do!!! Im determined to get in! When are you testing?

Im testing on the 17th

Good Morning Future Nurses,

I received an email and a letter with my requested Oct. 31 test date. Like most , I am very nervous but I am studying both the Kaplan and National League for Nursing RN Pre-Exam Entrance Exam Book. Also, decided to knock out a prerequisite college class; to lessen the studying.

I'm applying as well. Hoping for the best since this is my second time applying to this school.

Has anyone taken the Kaplan yet to shed some light on what is on the test. Or the first test will be held on Oct 17? Good luck every one let us study

Hi this is what I posted under a different post:

he exam was pretty straight forward. The Kaplan book only really helped me with the reading comprehension. I found outside sources for A&P, math, and grammer. Only A&P was on the exam no other sciences. When I researched, people who took the exam before said the same thing. The A&P section had very detailed questions. I just studied the systems that they said to study in the Kaplan book. Just have to pray you know enough. The math was very basic, so if you have forgotten elementary school math, brush up on that. I used Khan Academy to help me with math. Know fractions, decimals, percentages, solving for x in an equation.. I believe that was the majority of the math. They did have 1 or 2 nursing math questions but it was just a matter of knowing what they were asking for but it was still basic math. Check out this youtube video.

She gave a good run down of how he exam was, and it helped me a lot.

For the English/grammer section, I looked p websites that helped with subject- verb agreement, and I can not remember what else. But check the video and research other people.

1 grain=60 or 65mg it depends some say 60 some say 65.. I think that was something people said they saw in the math section. I think I might have saw that on the exam as well, but don't quote me.

I hope that helps.. Good luck
