Hello! Has anyone on here applied for Fall 2025 Day Program at Montefiore School of Nursing in Mount Vernon, New York? I know that the deadline to apply has passed and the applications are being reviewed, does anyone happen to know how long it takes for the school to respond with an admission decision. Also is there any students on here who is currently attending Montefiore School of Nursing and can give any insight into the how the classes and clinicals are and what to expect?

I was going to go to Saint Paul's school of nursing but they wanted me to take so many classes over, general ED classes like psych which was insane, plus they are so expensive. CUNY unless you have 4.0 so close to it, it's so hard to get in because so many people are applying. I did get in once and set my work schedule up to follow the classes but they changed the days last min so I didn't go

Oh I see makes sense. Do you remember your TEAS score and your pre requisite GPA? And do you complete your pre requisite or you had some you have to still complete ?

My TEAS was 75-76 but my GPA was 3.4 so I'm sure that helped & I had to retake AP 2 because it was older than 5 years old and still need to take developmental Psych
Matthew Nadel said:Nice I'm glad you got in. I'm curious to apply to any four-year schools? Cause I know you're gonna have to get your bachelors in order to get a decent job.
Originally, I was going to get a bachelors degree in sociology(I had 2 semesters left)because my plan was to do an accelerated program but since the school accepted me, I went there instead. I need a bachelors anyways so what do I need two bachelors for? My plan if all goes well is to have the hospital pay for the BSN

There are a lot of students working full time so I think it's doable if you have a good support system. However we did lose about half of our N1 cohort for various reasons. I'm currently still in school so I have no info on the NCLEX for you
Do you have classes Jan-May and Aug-Dec? Does it follow the typical college calendar? The catalog mentions it's divided into two 16-week semesters - could you confirm when they are? Is that schedule the same for the evening cohort? Thanks again!

im currently in the program, please let me know if you have any questions! I would love to help
Hey, I know it's a late post LOL sorry, but I am currently applying. I have a 3.60 GPA, finished all my prereqs, even micro. Unfortunately, I scored a 65% on TEAS. Have you heard what their minimum requirement is for the TEAS

Their minimum requirement is actually 59% and better so you should be okay

It's cool, the professors are nice & the school is nice/clean & the non-teaching staff are very nice.
