Hello! Has anyone on here applied for Fall 2025 Day Program at Montefiore School of Nursing in Mount Vernon, New York? I know that the deadline to apply has passed and the applications are being reviewed, does anyone happen to know how long it takes for the school to respond with an admission decision. Also is there any students on here who is currently attending Montefiore School of Nursing and can give any insight into the how the classes and clinicals are and what to expect?

Hello, did you start the program? What was your GPA and TEAS test score?
Fundamentals is the first class you will take, it is a lot of work/reading, so prepare to start reading as soon as they give you the list. The semester is broken into 3 components: Lecture, Lab, and Clinical. It's not the most organized imo but honestly I feel like every nursing school is slightly disorganized. Just make sure that you keep up with your work and no one else's. For lab you have a dosage calc exam like 3-4 weeks into the first semester. LMK if you have anymore questions

Thanks so much for answering! Were you or any of your classmates working full-time/do you think it's doable? If you graduated already, how was the N-Clex? How was the attrition rate and what was the reason people dropped?

Did you ask any of your classmates what their GPA was or their TEAS scores were?
I got a 90 on the TEAS and a a 3.1 GPA and I never really cared to ask anyone about the scores because if they got in then they were competitive enough for the school.
There are a lot of students working full time so I think it's doable if you have a good support system. However we did lose about half of our N1 cohort for various reasons. I'm currently still in school so I have no info on the NCLEX for you

Hi @Fruitnursing19
Thanks for being open to questions, really appreciate it!
How would you say the course load is? Is it possible to manage while working full-time? Also, do you have any tips for preparing for Nursing 1, anything specific you'd recommend reviewing or studying?
