Montefiore Nursing School Fall 2021

Hey there!! Any one applying or has applied to the Montefiore’s program for Fall 2021?

Can I asked who you spoke to? Bc --------------------------- kept telling me she had no idea of an email.

I spoke to ---------------------- and she said if you received an acceptance email, then you got accepted because they would never send out fake emails and multiple people received the email.

------------------- said there was no emails so I called ------------------------. The committee still has a list of acceptance that did not receive . She will call me today . Thank you.

Hey @Nikkit917!! 

I understand exactly how you are feeling right now!! I was in your very shoes just last semester, as everyone was receiving their acceptance emails. Email went out on Friday afternoon in the 4 o'clock hour. If I'm being straight with you - if you didn't get the email you didn't get accepted. I remember wishing there was a denial email, just to calm my anxiety and anticipation that "maybe, my email is coming later." But instead, I did received a rejection letter via postal mail.

My TEAS score was 78% and my GPA was about 3.7 (or somewhere around there, depending on how they calculated it). However knowing each others stats, won't really justify why you did or didn't get in. At least not with Monte, as they don't solely check for high test scores and high GPA's.  

There are still some schools with deadlines that haven't passed yet or have rolling admissions. Check out Hudson County Community College (NJ), Helen Flud, Jersey College, and Monroe College. 

Nevertheless, don't give up love, keep pushing! And that goes for anyone that didn't get the email! You didn't get it this time but you'll get it next! Don't give up, you come this far!! We're all chasing this dream - the Nursing School journey is very trying and challenging, it important to keep eachother going! This field needs us ALL! ?

 

For all those that received the email CONGRATS again!! Can't wait to meet you all in the fall. Lets us this platform as a resource for one another and/or a way to communicate over the next 3 month as we're approaching the big start date! ☺️

Thank you for your kind words. I was told there is another list of accepted students... so I might be on that list, she will tell me by end of the day, maybe it’s a waitlist. I did apply to a few other places. I need to find a job and with waiting for acceptances, it’s hard to figure out a schedule for my kids and work. Thank you

I called and was told they did not sent out any emails I guess she is selective on who she tells the info to.

Any recommendations on what shoes you guys are getting? I’m not getting ones from the site, I was wondering if all white nikes or adidas were okay?

I got some Timberland Renovas. It's comfort over style for me.

Does it have to be that material? That’s what I am really wondering. I saw some white nursing shoes on Amazon for 30-40 dollars… just curious if it has to be any certain material.

That I'm not 100% sure of. Reach out to the school to double check.
