Hi there,

Im really interested in applying to the accelerated bachelor's of nursing in bozeman, but haven't really found a lot of information on it since its fairly new. I was wondering if anyone on these boards have attended it and what your experience has been? I was also wondering if you would share the stats you were admitted with (GPA, level of experience etc)

Thanks so much! Any input at all would be very appreciated

Hi! I see this post is kind of old, but I've also been accepted into MSU's ABSN program in Missoula. It'd be great to connect online, especially since we've been switched to distance learning for the Summer semester. I know I was excited to get into the classroom and meet everyone, so it's a bummer but I also understand the reasoning behind it.

Hello and CONGRATS! My name is Ashley and I’ve been accepted at the Missoula location as well! What’s your name? I was bummed too when I heard everything would be online especially since I’m big on study groups. Hopefully this will all be over soon!

Congratulations to you as well! My name is Miryam! Were you at the meet your cohort meeting in February? I met a couple people there, but can’t remember everyone’s names.
Are you on FB? Maybe we can chat there.

Nice to meet you! No, I wasn’t able to make the cohort meeting in real time. Unfortunately, I had to work so I watched the recording afterwards. I am on facebook. You can try finding me by searching my email ? [email protected]

I can't seem to find you! A few Ashleys show up when I put in your email. You can find me though, just search Miryam Baied (there's not too many of us LOL).

Hello everyone! I am also looking at applying to the accelerated program once I finish my education degree in a couple of semesters. Does anyone mind sharing what their GPA was in terms of what campus they were accepted to? I’m really trying to stay in Bozeman due to my husbands job and my child’s daycare being here. Does anyone also know if they take personal obligations into account, or do they just look at your GPA?

Any info is appreciated!! Thanks!

Hello! I can’t speak for Bozeman because my first choice was Missoula and same with the others who got into the Missoula campus. I was told I would need a 3.5 GPA in the required classes to be competitive. I had a 3.7 GPA and got my first choice. I don’t know if that’s helpful. They really try to get people with their first choice. Good luck!

@AW768 thank you so much! Do you know how many spots they have at each campus for every new cohort?

Welcome! I think it’s 8 at each location. Missoula has 8 and so does kalispell

@AW768 Hi Ashley! I just submitted my application the other day for the program. I live in Missoula so it’s my first choice for placement. Are you on social media? I tried to search for your email above but couldn’t find you. Would LOVE to hear your experience about the program so far. Thank you!

Did anyone ended up attending montana state university? If yes how was the program? WS it difficult? What is the grading system eg the minimum to pass the class?.

@K44 I graduated from this program in 21 when Covid was at its peak. I was honestly disappointed with my experience. A lot of my education was online and some of our in person clinicals were cut due to Covid. Some lectures were prerecorded so it was difficult to ask questions. I can't speak for the program now but that was my experience.
