Tweety must be exciting with the trip coming up

Rose it is surprising how much accumulates

NJ22 glad you finally got rid of the tree

Stars definitely can understand that burned out feeling

Ado I'm glad the power came back on

Was a quieter day yesterday.  Got some things ready for the week before church.  After church did some additional grocery shopping and the cooking for the week. Then exercised and took it easy.  Went off diet quite a bit.  Finally got cooler temperatures and rain

Today will try some fasting to get back on diet.  Hopefully things didn't get too backed up at work, was only gone 1 day so it shouldn't be bad

Finally cooler here, will be in the 70s.  Will rain again tomorrow, we could use it

Good morning!
Joe hope you have a good day.

I'm not much of a pack rat, but it does seem like things pile up over the years, but with me it's mostly manageable.  Every now and then I weed things out like when I painted the bedroom and was rearranging things in there, or when I got my new desk and bookshelf for my computer room.  As I'm cleaning out the spare bedroom, I'm doing the same.

After the window repair person comes, not much going on.  Probably will take a nap before bowling.  Got up way too early.  I wish my sleeping meds helped me to sleep longer than five hours, but in the past I wouldn't sleep five hours without waking up so there is that.

Still hot here with a high of 90.

Have a great day!

Hello!

Joe, it's always good to have a friend!

Tweety, I hope you get a nap in before bowling.  How exciting that your trip is coming up so soon!

Rose, good luck with the pre-trip cleaning!

Ado, what a relief the electricity was only off for a short time.  Yes to using a phone for a hot spot (although if electricity is off, you can't charge the phone battery...).

Hello nursej22!

Yesterday's music went well, we played for three hours (with a short break), and then had some Greek food.  It was our first time playing with the "new" bass player, who seemed to enjoy it all!  He is very experienced, and though he HAS been listening to our CDs, to get a feel for "our" arrangements, this three-hours was like a jam session, where we didn't do a lot of our gospel songs, but mainly secular songs -- that one would do in a jam.  He did a few of "his" songs, which was nice.  He has a good singing voice, AND plays bass at the same time!  (always a plus)

After the early supper of Greek food, we got a call from a friend, that he was in the local ER, and asking if we could retrieve his car from the event parking, and then bring it to the ER so it would be ready for him when he was released.  Also, to take his friend home, who had accompanied him to the event.  So, we did that.  Drove to the ER to get his key, picked up his friend from the ER, drove to the event (she directed us to the parking area), dh drove his car to the ER and parked it.  I drove the friend home (the next town over), then picked up dh.  We were home by 8:30, no worse than spending the day at Disneyland!  Dh got a text this morning that his friend was driving home, yay!  They ruled out CVA, and said he probably had "sun stroke."  Last night dh said he looked tired, mainly.  Friend will probably be VERY glad to be home!

Dh had his DMV appointment on Friday, to renew his license (as an "over 70" he had to take the written test, which he did online).  Nope.  Their computers were down!  So he will go some morning this week (he has a special voucher, to get in without an appointment), to finish that off.

Not much else planned for this week...

Have a good day!

Afternoon~

I woke up at 10:45, went down to feed Momo, and there was Nannie sitting in her chair, drapes still closed. I asked her how long had she been up and she told me she got up at 6 AM. Not sure she really actually knew that or if she picked a number out of the air. Anyway, I gave her her breakfast and pills and left her there. I was having aches in my hips and hands, so I took my meds and went back to bed. Momo woke me up barking when she heard SiL come through the back door at 12:30 PM. I stayed in bed until 1 PM and decided I might as well get up.

SiL has taken Nannie away for the day. My errands will be to go to the library, and then to the pharmacy to get another refill. After I come home, I have a sinkful of dishes to do....again! Bleh.

dianah, did I tell you that Nannie had enjoyed fiddling with her "busy" thingy, with buttons and zippers and shoestrings, etc? I wasn't sure if she would like it or not, but SiL presented it to her and they had a good time figuring it all out. It still doesn't stop her from constantly re-arranging her jersey and jacket sleeves. It always amazes and pleases her when she can show me her sleeves...."Look! And look at this one!" Uh-huh. It is odd to me that she does this so often....like, I mean, I dressed her, so I know what she has on and that the colors go together, and that the jersey sleeves are long enough for her to have the wrists showing below the blazer sleeves! I guess I should feel happy that she is happy with it----

Guess I ought to get dressed and go knock the errands out. It will be in the mid-70's today and it is raining. Glad I bought my new umbrella already, 'cause I'll need it today!

SiL brought Nannie back home at 6:30 PM, and came in to chat for a few minutes. While she was here----for 15-20 minutes, poor Nannie asked every few minutes whose car that was parked outside the back door. She wanted to know if SiL was going to take her someplace. She did not remember that they had been at SiL's house for much of the day, nor that they "went gallivanting", nor did she remember she'd had supper. When SiL told Nannie what she had eaten for supper, she did not remember eating at all. Asked if she was "still hungry?", she said she couldn't tell if she was or not. Later on, there was an ad on TV, I don't know for what because I wasn't paying attention, but she asked, "Who do I have to tell which one I choose?" I had no idea what it was she felt she was supposed to choose, but  she told me, "that man just told me I had to decide." I said she didn't have to worry about choosing anything, or deciding anything, and "that man" was in a commercial and not talking to her specifically. It is a shame her memory span is pretty much shot....her brain is getting 'looser' by the week!

Okay, as of now it is 2 hrs and 15 minutes until her bed time. I can make it! I have 2 more books I got from the library, so I will be happy-happy to go up to my bedroom to start reading, as soon as I get Nannie into her bed.
