Good morning!
Slept in some.
Congrats on the prize J22.
Joe, hope you enjoy a good work.
Yesterday they pulled a nurse, a tech called in and the unit secretary called in and no replacements. So three people short. But we worked together and got it done. I had a two-patient assignment which wasn't horrible but it also falls on the charge nurse to be secretary. I just had to neglect the charge nurse rounding and they will have to accept that.
Nothing much going on today. Renewed my benefits at work and decided to get Identity theft protection and changed my mind, but they wouldn't let me change my mind and I don't feel like getting on the phone and getting it fixed. Oh well. Hopefully won't have to use it.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Gray, chilly, and wet. Supposed to be raining more heavily after a while. SiL called me and said she was going to get Nannie for a 3 PM dentist appt to have her teeth cleaned, and then she will bring her home. I have to dash out for the usual things we run short of rather quickly. Not exactly a 'day off', but I have grown to expect that these days.
My mammogram was 'satisfactory' and negative (I didn't expect anything different.)
I'm back from the store, now it is raining more heavily than it was when I left. The arms, shoulders, and hood of my jacket are soaked. Have toted everything in through the front door where I back my car up to the stairs. I expect SiL will be bringing Nannie back soon, which I am not thrilled about, except for the fact that at least *I* don't have to go out to the Sr Ctr to pick her up!
Groceries sure are getting more expensive, it seems that no matter what I get, I am spending more than $200 each trip. But now I certainly have enough food stowed away for a while.
Tinker and I are snuggled up on our sofa and enjoying the last little bit of peace and quiet before "she" arrives home. Y'know, sometimes Tinker gives me the 'side-eye' about Nannie; she understands how things are because of her!
They are back. *sigh*
Partly sunny today, although a little cool. I've been outside, pruning and putting some plants to bed, and took the doggers for a walk. One of them got hold of dh's sleep mask so we left to avoid his wrath. I need to get some laundry going, and work on a newsletter for the gardeners. I was picking up dog toys to get ready to vacuum, but they were promptly rescattered. Gee, thanks guys.
Regardless of anything else that is going on this evening, I am very pleased that HGTV has CASTLE IMPOSSIBLE back on; the series follows the renovations being done by the woman that inherited a huge castle in France from her grandfather. She and her boyfriend are doing all the renovations and so far they have done a spectacular job. They have a few people who help them out, like with figuring out the weird electric systems, and today they are searching for a water heater (there are several old ones in the chateau) so they can make one of the rooms into a 'bathing chamber'. Can't have a regular bathroom, as there is no plumbing in the house! Anyway, it is an interesting show each time, and as Nannie is nodding off at intervals, I don't actually have to explain anything.....ALWAYS a relief! I really admire the couple who have taken on restoring the rooms. Fascinating; they research all manner of things they need to know to do all the work in as historical a way as possible. Anyway, back to watching their progress!

Stars that must be draining, I'm glad her sons at least realize how she really is
Hi Ado
NJ22 that was a nice raffle prize
Did cooking before church, then got to church early as I was both usher and reader. After church drove to meet my friend N for lunch. We went to the local place and then went for a long walk. Forgot my hat so I got slightly sunburned. Rest of the day was quiet, did laundry
Today have a doctor's appointment after work but other than that should be quiet. Probably my last quiet day at work this week, tomorrow one coworkers is off, and then Thursday another coworker is off, and neither returns until Tues Thankfully I have someone from another team helping from Thurs-Mon
Will be a little cooler today, upper 50s
