Stars glad you got some relief today from SIL

NJ22 hope your MIL is discharged soon

Tweety that was nice they gave free gas, hope you get your electricity back on soon

Ado hope the pain has improved

Dianah glad the practice went well and things are gelling with the band

Didn't see any birds yesterday.  Was probably a mistake to go bird watching as I had barely enough time to get home before leaving for the coffee event with the over 50 group.  Again just the organizer and myself but we had a good chat

Came home and found the cat had not been eating and was having diarrhea and vomiting.  Decided I would keep an eye on her, and take her to the vet today if she didn't improve and take her to the emergency vet if she got worse.  Was able to stay fairly calm despite all that, and confident in my plan, which was pleasing

She was able to drink water later that day and was behaving fairly normally.  And today she has been eating without vomiting, so whatever that was seems to be past, though I'll keep an eye out just in case

Nothing really usual going on today except for work and exercise

Will be cooler today, in the upper 50s

A quick hello from my phone as my cold oatmeal gets ready.

Joe, glad the cat is better.

Reminds me after a long shift coming home to a house full of diarrhea.  I nearly cried as I was tired and took forever to clean up.

Getting some provisions today since power probably will be off for a while.  Doubtful they will have ice but I will try.  The ice bags I putting before the hurricane actual still have ice but are melting.  My freezer is my refrigerator as the refrigerator part is hot.  Lost food there.

Yes, it's one day at a time.

One day at a time is the only way you can take it.

One year and four hours ago, hubby passed away peacefully at the hospital while I held his hand, talked to him and kissed his forehead. It was a peaceful passing and I am glad he is not suffering any more from all the abuse he did to his body and its systems.

It's been a quiet day; Nannie napped for several hours, but now suppertime approacheth, yippee. Hope there is something EASY to fix for her....there ought to be since I did all that shopping yesterday, but I am looking for little to no prep time, y'know?

Okay, that's it for now.

Going back to Halloween chex mix... sounds good. I like candy corn, too.

Our lab manager keeps track of celebration days... like, today was National Dessert Day so he brought a bunch of sweets.  I might have had too many.
