Good morning.
Joe, hope you continue to have good days at work.
Stars hope you have a good productive day with Nannie at daycare.
Nice pics J22!
We were all set yesterday to have a good day and an RN and PCT called off. The PCT is one of my favorites but she let it be known her mother was in town so doubt it was a legit sick call but whatever. We did manage to slog through. We do have some problematic patients. One with a daughter who won't pick a nursing facility for her mother, one older man that masturbates constantly, one mean patient whose husband won't take her home, on and on.
Anyway off for three days now. Getting a "wind mitigation" survey on my new roof today here in a few. Hopefully will pass and maybe get a discount on hurricane insurance since the roof is new. I'm being forced off the state's insurance plan to a private one in May which makes me nervous because not only is it more expensive they can raise premiums as much as they want to in the future. That states plan goes up but the legislature controls it and last year it was 6%. I understand though it was supposed to be temporary since I couldn't get insurance anywhere else.
Still a bit under the weather but not dreadfully so, just tired and a bit of a cold. Got one of those covid-flu tests and tested negative for both. Although a guy that we didn't know have the flu turned up positive today. I'd been very close to him when we were admitting him.
The good thing about short-term memory loss is .... Nannie forgot how mad she was at me last night and was chipper this AM, knowing she would be going OUT to the daycare center. I set my alarm clock for 7:30 AM so I could spend up to 1/2 hr stopping the beep-beep-beeping for another 5-30 minutes extra sleep. It works for me, anyway! I still had Nannie up on time and ready to go when BiL got here for her.
Momo still hasn't eaten anything. Last night, though she never ate yesterday, she was all bouncy and REALLY into playing with that little rubber squeaking-dog toy. Kept barking at me to toss it so she could pounce on it. I wonder if she'll eat after I leave for the tire-changing appointment? Hope so. As long as she can do it without "tossing her cookies".
Speaking of tossing......one of my favorite parts in a chicken commercial is when they say "You can't fix a problem by tossing antibiotics at it"....and shows a disgusted woman standing in front of her car that has the hood up .and the engine smoking... and she tosses a handful of pills into her engine. It just tickles me. Maybe I am easily amused.
Ten AM and I guess I'll put the laptop down for a while. I'll prolly eat brunch at lunchtime, because I don't know how long I'll be at the dealership in the waiting room.
I did have to 'splain to Nannie this morning that it is okay for the birds and squirrels to be out in the back yard. They live outdoors, they do not and will not "get into the house". and that their "job" is, throughout the day, to find as much food as they can eat, which consists of bugs and seeds. They are not here to annoy her! To see her patting on the arm of her chair and making : "Shhhh-shhhh" sounds and then motion to the wildlife to leave the patio.....it was ridiculous!
Washed the dishes, started a laundry, trimmed my bangs and washed my hair. Hoping SiL can trim up the rest of it soon, as it is bugging me, especially in the back where it is too long and heavy. And when I lean back with the back of my head on a pillow or the back of the sofa, the hair back there flattens, and the ends flip out in those awful "Cindy/Debbie Flips" the cheerleaders in high school always wore way back then. Hate 'em on me! But with a good haircut, my hair behaves itself for weeks+.
TMI (?)....[not tmb!]..............I also shaved my sideburns, goatee and mushmash areas. Hey, Susan Sommers said she shaved her face every day; she said men generally had 'better skin' because they do that. The sideburns were just a lot of blond hairs, but I don't like having so much longish peach-fuzz on my cheeks. The little black hairs on my chin and upper lip are not so clustered, and I usually pluck them, but it is sometimes tiresome to do so, especially the just-under-my-jaws area where I can't quite see them with the magnifying mirror, because the angle is wrong. I just hate seeing little black hairs I can't quite get rid of very easily.
It is noon, so I am going to eat brunch now; I will be leaving for the dealership at 1 PM.

NJ22 thanks for sharing more pics from your trip
Stars I hope she is calmer today
Was a quieter day yesterday for me. Got some things done in the morning before church. Had to leave a bit early as I was ushering. After church did the cooking and the dishes. Stormed a bit here but not too bad. Went for a walk in the evening, was going to ride my bike bit it had gotten too cold
Nothing unusual going on today except for laundry. Hoping work will not be crazy, although it has generally been good this month
Going to be much colder than yesterday, only in the upper 40s
