Tweety glad you're feeling better

Hi Dianah and NJ22

Stars glad you will get a break from her today

Was a quieter day yesterday.  Went out bird watching in the morning.  Came home and did laundry.  Then did the cooking for the week and ran some errands.  Weather wasn't too warm either, which was nice

Today have a different co worker who will be off, so hoping work won't be crazy.  Guess we'll see. Nothing usual tonight, just exercise.  And will sit in on the Zoom meeting for the gay group's activity committee

Will be in the upper 80s today

85 degrees with a "feels like 90" and humidity of 65%. I don't know but Saturday it was 85, 75% humidity, dew point 75, and absolutely miserable. I know because I spent 2 hours at the church's "booth" out at the Lake Day event. We had a beanbag toss for the kids, then they could pick out a prize, and we shared information about our free haircut day for school-age kids, and about our upcoming VBS. I was shocked when I got back to my car and it said the temp was only 85. Thunder rumbled all day long and then we finally had a shower in the evening and the temp/humidity have felt more comfortable since then.

Sunday we had a church leadership meeting after church that lasted nearly 2 hours. 😵

We made quesadillas for dinner and I made banana bread because we had some bananas that got over-ripe.

Today I have an appointment to pick up the device for the home sleep study.

Stars, I think you are drastically underpaid. Yes, the house is part of your compensation, but depending on the number of years you end up in this "job" ... I think you should be getting more cash.

95 degrees with a 'feels-like' 111 degrees!  63% humidity and 51% chance of rain at 4 PM. I get to go pick up Nannie around 4:50 PM.

I got up at 6 AM and unlocked the doors for SiL so she wouldn't wake me up to get in the house in a while. Made a cup of coffee and a piece of multi-grain toast so the AM pills would go down easily, and then put my head back down on the pillow and 😴 . Don't know when she got here, and don't know when they left. I slept hard until 11 AM and got up at 11:30 AM.

Made my bed. Prolly will wash up the very few dishes in the kitchen sink so they don't get fruitful and multiply. Don't have enough laundry to make a load, and I can't believe that! Plucked my eyebrows and where a mustache and goatee would form if I left those little black hairs to keep growing. (Is that TMI?) Anyway, I have checked the news-feed, so I think I will go upstairs and vacuum my room now.

I am fantasizing that I have this entire week without anybody else here at the house. Ah!  I am due for a miracle, I think!

Hello all!

Not much to report from this part of the world.  Hot days.  We have band practice this afternoon.  Had a nice lunch yesterday with oldest ds.  Later in the evening we watched, on his recommendation: Knives Out.  We will soon watch its sequel, Glass Onion.  Stars Daniel Craig, who does a great job as a very Southern Gentleman PI.  Twisty plot, to figure out who killed the patriarch (played by Christopher Plummer -- movie done in 2019, he died in 2021).  Old house.  Contentious, money-grubbing family members.  🙂

No Stars, could you get keys made for SiL and BiL, so you don't have to wake up to let them in?  Just a thought.  I'm so glad you have a day to yourself -- ANY days to yourself are a plus, given the situation!  How are the bathroom improvements working out?

Ado, that is HOT!

Joe, hope work goes smoothly today.  It seems, during Summer, that there is always someone off work!

Tweety, yes, I'm glad you are feeling better.

Have a good afternoon/evening!
