Good morning.
Joe, hope you have a good day.
Anxiety got ahold of me for some reason and I needed medication. Weird. I've been relatively okay the last few weeks after recovering from hurricane, visiting family and life changes anxiety. Feel better now.
Woke up at 1:30 to a barfing dog, but he ate breakfast. Nothing unusual. He's getting extremely frail, blind, and seems to have trouble balancing to eat. Might have to raise his bowl more because when I put it in my hand he eats. I'll be looking at his quality of life but he's not in pain or distress.
Also woke up twice and was hot. This new comforter I bought is really good but too good. But didn't seem to be a problem.
Was getting a new storm door today to replace one on my front door that was damaged during the hurricane and they canceled due to an emergency. She was on her way to an emergency meeting in her car and will reschedule. No biggie. The old one works, just doesn't shut all the way and there's a gap at the top.
I'm bummed that I paid for another virus/malaware program for some malware I know I have and the new one didn't stop the issue. G is a member of "Geek Squad" and thinks he can call them and fix it for me. When I search something on Google it switches to "Startpage" or some other. For a while it was Yahoo. For the most part it doesn't bother me.
Anyway, not much going on today.
Woke up to my phone ringing; it was SiL outside the back door; Nannie had an appt w/ her primary--as a follow-up to her ER visit for her most recent fall, and to re-write scripts for her meds. She also had the COVID shot, Flu shot, and as a previous patient used to call it, the "P-new-monie-ya" shot. SiL said doc was "thrilled" about the daycare.....?......But she isn't going to any daycare YET, and until she does, I won't believe it. SiL had filled out form and I guess is waiting to hear back.
When I got up to let SiL in, my knees felt like they were twice as large as they are....and they aren't/weren't actually swollen, tho they felt like it. Also the tendons of my groin were aching. I took my meds and went back to bed. Now I am up and they feel somewhat better. I have to run out to deposit the check BiL gave me on Friday.
It is 45 degrees outside, and sunny, but the weather report on line says we may get some rain in the early evening. Guess I ought to get a warm jacket on before I go out. If I wait too much longer to go out, I'll be dodging school busses, so see ya later!
Anyway, that's it for now
Hi. Very cold this morning, there was frost on my windshield still at 9 when I left for the gym. While I was there, youngest ds called me to ask about covid. He tested positive this morning, and wanted to know if he needs to retest. I said no, but we have some tests he can use if he wants. No fever, but sore throat and dry cough. His work said he can come to work in a mask if he has no fever, which is not what he wanted to hear.
I picked up my new eyeglasses, and they feel much better than my old ones. Plus, the annoying scratch that was on the lens from my faceplant 2 months ago is gone! Ya, know, my nose is still tender from that. I must have broken it.
I sewed a button back on for dh, and spent some time spreading out the branches on the Christmas tree that dh put up last night. He saw his PCP today, and he's a little dissatisfied. His old doc saw him for 40 years and he just did everything himself. This one refers him to specialists for everything. And then when he goes back to PCP she seems surprised that he went. So far this fall, he's seen, derm, cardiology, and now he has a referral to see ENT for hoarseness. She keeps trying to up his Ozempic for weight loss, but it bothers his stomach when it's too high, and since his A1C is down to 6.5, he is refusing to change.
We had chicken soup made in-house from Costco, and it wasn't bad, and some warmed up french bread.

Tweety I made a lentil dish this week too
Stars hoping for another quiet day for you
Ado hope she is less restless today
NJ22 here it's been dry and cold and often cloudy
Did some meal prep before work, then went to church and stayed for a while at coffee hour. Then came home and finished the cooking for the week. Not sure if what I made turned out that great but we'll see. Rest of the day was fairly ordinary, and fairly quiet
Today should be a pretty ordinary day, nothing really on the scheduled that's out of the ordinary
Will be another colder day in the upper 20s here
