Slept pretty good last night despite being warm and restless that evening

Yesterday went fairly good, though was busy.  Did cooking and laundry before church.  After church did the baking, was  going to wait until next weekend but  it will likely be too busy then.  Drove to the old  neighborhood and went for a walk as it was nice though a bit windy

J reported he's doing better, seems to be recovering from whatever it was

Finally got my CT license,  which is a relief.  Still waiting on MA, we'll see how long that takes.  

Will be up  to the 60s today, tomorrow too

Ado, glad the performance went well!  I didn't know that about possums.

Julie, what a dreadful thing to do to someone with one year left to retire.  

J22, hope you had a better night sleep.

Nothing much going on here.  I did not sleep well again and will need to take a nap so I can go bowling tonight.  Bleh....

The "can't sleep" bug must have been out last night, for I got poor sleep last night too.  Need to get groceries today, and change sheets/towels.  Perhaps a nap is in MY plan for today too!

Hello~

We are watching a ballgame; it is at the bottom of the 4th inning, and the Nationals are ahead of the Braves by 4. Pooey!

Anyway, I'd rather be watching American Idol; saw 12 of the 24 performers last night, and tonight the 2nd set of 12 contestants will perform, and then some from each group will be eliminated. I am not pulling for anyone in particular, but there are several real stand-outs who I think might be in the running to win.

Oooh! Nanny just said she was going to go to bed! Of course, she isn't moving at all, currently, so I don't know how long this 'going to bed' business is going to take her. She may not go to bed after all. She's hooked on the camera shots they are taking of kids in the stands, who have their free-give-away (to the first 50 attendees) Championship rings on their fingers. Giggling. "Loooooook, oh looook, what a precious little boy." It drives me insane when we are all watching the same TV and she starts with that 'loooooook, loooook'. I have to bite my tongue not to say, "I am looking." ? GADS! And other words not approved of by TOS....

NOW, she's s-l-o-w-l-y working her way to the bedroom. Now it's too late for me to see any of the remainder of American Idol. Way to go, Nannie.

She's finally gone to bed, and now hubby has returned to the den, and HE is talking and talking and talking. I give up on this posting business for now....

I changed sheets and towels (in otherwords, I DID do something today!).  Watched Heidi (Shirley Temple), very nostalgic to watch it. ?  Then in the afternoon I picked up oldest ds and we went grocery shopping.  It was nice to have his company. ?  

When I got home, after putting the groceries away, I made a Vietnamese canh soup, a light broth of fish sauce, with sauteed onions, chopped ginger, chopped spinach, and I added sliced mushrooms and diced firm tofu (instead of the shrimp that the recipe called for).   We both enjoyed it, and it wasn't heavy. 

So, I didn't get a nap in.  Hope that means I will sleep good tonight!

How was bowling, Tweety??
