They definitely will. We'll all feel like we have no idea what we're doing for the next bit, up to and including some of the first semester, but it'll all be fun. We'll want to get on our immunizations etc. early though I think, as I know we'll need to go back to the doctor a couple times for some of the tests (tb scratch test might be one, for example).
They'll be all over us. I only know because I've been accepted for other programs, which I eventually declined so I could do the RPN. Mohawk seem like they're on top of things though. The hard part is behind us...except for the long hours and endless reading lol. So as far as what to do now, just be happy that we got in and enjoy it for a bit I guess until they tell us what to do next.
Hello all :) I also received and accepted my offer last week. I see on our self serve (Mocomotion) that there is a little list about what we need to get done, the list of immunizations, CPR etc etc, and some things are done on the eLearn on our self serve also. It appears our immunizations etc are due by April 2017 for us Winter start students but I agree with some of you who have previously commented.. start early.
Ironically I currently live in Hamilton but I am a Niagara native and will be moving to Welland in October. If there are any of you who will be commuting around the Niagara area I'd be happy to get to know some of you and possibly carpool if anyone is interested, especially in the winter months it'll help some of us cut down on driving daily. (my car has about 312k on her so less driving should lengthen her life haha).
I'm really excited to meet you all, I've been out of school for about a year, I graduated from Brock last year (general psych degree) so it'll be nice to get into this program which was my first choice.. I applied twice before this and finally got accepted. I also have some questions on some course exemptions if any of you are applying for some.
Hi everyone! I'm also going to be in the Jan 2017 program!! Can't wait! I got an email the other day saying we would get our fee schedule/info in the mail so now I'm just waiting on that .... Has anyone started the pre placement requirements yet? Excited to meet you all and begin this journey!
I..kind of started. I've been to the docs to start my immunizations, but that's it. Has anyone done the other things online?
Is anyone else concerned with us being able to get jobs once we graduate? I mean I see a lot of RPN jobs posted but most require a couple years of experience it seems. I've already read a few posts on this site and people seem to be struggling, to put it lightly.
