mobile phones and hospitals

Is there any evidence to suggest mobile phones do mess with hosptial equipment, or is it just a crok?

i havent found any evidence!!

Our institution allows cell phones across the board (though there are some old signs hanging about still that state otherwise ). The tech guy said cell phones are OK, but wireless internet on laptops wasn't. *shrug* As a nurse on med-surg/tele, I'm thankful for the pt distraction a cell provides.
