Hey all! I didn’t see a thread for MMU CRNA 2022 prgram start, so figured I’d start one. Anyone know when interviews usually go out?
Hi all,
I just got a call to offer me a position in this year’s class- crazy and super exciting- however, the primary site is 3 hours away in Omaha. My preferred 3 sites were Sioux Falls, Yankton, and Sioux City. My family and I JUST moved to Sioux Falls last week and we don’t have any daycare lined up yet (I have 2 little kids).
What would you guys do?? I don’t want to miss this opportunity, but do I take my chances and reapply for next year? Do I accept it and move my family again? Do I accept it and get an apartment in Omaha? I’m torn right now and could use some input- has anyone else gone through this?
Hello, and congrats! I also start this program in May. I’m not in your scenario, but I heard there’s an option or chance for switching clinical sites with someone else potentially. I would maybe reach out to the school and see what options they have or if they can offer suggestions for childcare too.Thankfully the first 3 months, May-August are all online so that should give you so time to figure out child care. My husband and I just moved to Sioux Falls two months ago, so if you need help with anything, feel free to message me and we can exchange contact info.
I would guess maybe only half of us bought the books..... for the first term you definitely need the Stats books. I only opened the health assessment book maybe twice. And I certainly didn't use the books for theory or informatics more than a couple times. I'd wait until it got closer to see if you even need the books. All of them can be downloaded instantly on a kindle app. I think only a handful of people actually bought hard books to be sold. Search buttons save so much time over flipping through 1000+ page books. You'll definitely want Guyton and Hall, Miller, and Nagelhout eventually. We found them for free as downloads online. Just my opinion though. Good luck! And congrats on getting in!

Does anyone have an idea of how many spots have been accepted?
