Hi, there

I am planning to apply a RN-BSN program, and curious about Barnes-Jewish's RN-BSN program.

If you applied to the program, been through the program or have any info about that program, I would really appreciate your input.

Thanks a lot!

A side note. If you work at Barnes and it may be true of any BJC hospital you can get your BSN online for free at the nursing school.

Specializes in OB/Gyn, Post Partum, Antepartum.

I started out in the RN to BSN program at Barnes-Jewish. I took two 8 week classes that met one day a week from 9 to 2. I enjoyed the program. I am not a group learner and become easily destracted in the classroom setting so I went to the online program that is for BJH employees.

It took me about a year for the online program and it was great. I learned so much. It was alot of hard work, but I can honestly say that the program well worth the time and I graduated feeling that I had learned something.

Specializes in pediatric neuro/neurosurg/rehab.

I went to SLU and I think it was a waste of $. I have heard a lot of bad things about Barnes-Jewish. Lots of my coworkers went there and they all complained that the instructors were not supportive or organized at all. What about UMSL? I've heard good things about the grad school program.
