I checked the St. Joseph's RN salary is 19 some dollar to little over 34 dollars an hour, I was shocked. Michigan's big hospital give at least 21 dollars an hour for fresh graduated ADN, at least that's what my classmates in Michigan make. Is it really that low in Indiana? Is there a patient-RN ratio in Indiana? How is the nursing home in Mishawaka, south bend area? Can I live on that salary? I saw the apartment there was not cheap.
Thank you!

I know three nurses who graduated from Bethel College. They all had an ADN-RN and started at $23. If you want more, you can also work nights or weekends. Michigan *usually* pays nurses better, though it's not always the case.
