MiraCosta, Palomar, Grossmont etc. Spring 2020 Applicants

Published

Hi all!! Just wanted to start a thread so we could share words of encouragement and not go crazy waiting for admission emails alone!!! Good luck to everyone :)

I talked to Mallory Fore from MiraCosta and she said she will hopefully be able to send out the emails by the end of this week.

Hi everyone this is my first post on allnurses. Definitely have been a stalker on these forums for a while! Lol

Just wanted to share that I got into Grossmont for Spring 2020 (received the email last week 9/23). I also recieved an acceptance to Palomar (received an email today 10/01) but will be declining as Grossmont was my first choice and it's closer to home.

I applied to MiraCosta but have not heard from them.

Hoping this info helps someone in the waiting game ?

If you don’t mind me asking, how many points did you have?

I had about 86 points

Does anyone know if Palomar accepts online Sciences (with labs)? I took a Microbiology class through UOP and I didn't see anywhere on their website that it wasn't accepted. But when I went and met with a counselor she said they didn't take them.

I turned in my application anyway and expected I would be rejected because of the online science. But I'm one of the ones who hasn't gotten an email yet as well.

So, I'm a little confused that I may still be in the running? I guess that's a good thing! I had 85-87 points.

Anybody heard any news so far?

has everyone received their denial or acceptance email from palomar? I have yet to hear anything but two of my friends got denied yesterday...

I called yesterday and was told that they had sent emails to the top 36 and had also sent some rejections. They said they would continue to invite people until all spots were filled. They had over 250 applicants. I asked what the average points they are accepting and she said it really just depends on how many people from the 36 decline. She said they have gone into the low 70's sometimes. So, if you haven't heard yet, essentially you're still in the running, from what I understood! She said we should know one way or another by the first week of Nov.

Hey guys! Anyone know the average points for the students accepted at Palomar? I still haven’t heard anything from them but did get denied from MiraCosta last week.

Heyhey! Has anyone gotten news from Palomar? I applied with ~81 points and I haven't heard news yet...

Sending good vibes to everyone out there!

Hello @revelrevel, I received my acceptance email October 2nd and the orientation is November 1st. Have you heard from them yet?

Hi everyone, I'm actually not in this cohort but am planning to apply next cohort for fall 2020. I think my points are estimated to be around 81. If you guys don't mind me asking, how many did you guys get? Thank you!
