minorities in nursing

Hi, I am a nursing student at MCG and I am doing a project on minorities in nursing. My questions for those of you working out in the field are...
1. What is the status of minority nurses today?
2. Can improvements be made?
3. If so, what type of improvements would you like to see?

What exactly do you mean about "status of minority nurses"? To most of us a nurse is a nurse, race/gender/religion/sexual orientation is pretty negligible. We do not care about these things, we do care as to whether one can do the job.

All nurses need improvements...that is not a minority thing that is a human thing.

I believe that you may need to be more specific in your question as to what information you are seeking?

For those of you that may have misunderstood my questions, I am doing a project on minorities in nursing and was inquiring about where minority nurses are now as opposed to where they have been in the past. I also wanted to find out if improvements could be made in areas such as recruiting miniorities for RN programs etc...
