Is anyone planning on any minor(s) with their BSN? If so what, and why are you choosing it?

I want to minor in Women's Studies. I wouldnt mind working at a hospital during the week. and doing something that is health related that directly correlates with women's health. something like educating women and girls at planned parenthood, or at an abortion clinic, or battered women. something like that. what did you have in mind?
just general curiosity. i'm entertaining chemistry as a minor at the moment.
i'm wondering if people tend to choose a minor based on their professional goals or just personal interests, etc.
i always thought people chose minors that could relate to what they are majoring in.

I'm going for a second degree BSN, so I don't know if my answer is what you're looking for, but I'm minoring in Spanish. My sister is getting her BSN, and is minoring in something related to child development (I can't think of the exact name off of the top of my head, but she loves children and wants to work with them, so this is perfect for her).
Also, you don't have to minor in something related to what you're majoring in. I've got several friends minoring in art-related studies, not because it's related to their major, but because it's a hobby that they truly enjoy.
im not saying that they have to minor in something related, im just saying most people i know do that, and in my opinion it makes more sense. but thats just me. and spanish is a good minor, i was borderline thinking about that as well.

My minor was in health science. I had thoughts of going on for a masters in public health with the possibility of going into teaching. BTW, many of the nursing students who failed out of the nursing program would continue on in the health science department to complete a degree.
