Hi all!

I just recieved some great news last week: I am 6 weeks pregnant! I am going to be finishing up school in Boston until July, but then I am moving to the Asheville, NC area. Does anyone know of good, sound, midwifery practices in that area where I might go to for care? My sister is already doing some leg-work for me, as she already lives there, but I just wanted to see if you all have some advice.

I can't recommend any particular practices, but you can use this search at the College of Nurse-Midwives to search for midwifery practices in the area. I got numerous hits when I tried it for Asheville:

I copied this to the North Carolina forum as well in hopes that you may get broader responses. Maybe some of the people who live in NC but don't read this forum can help.

I know of a practice in High Point, NC, but that's not exactly close to Asheville. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
