Middlesex County College Nursing?

Published

Hi Guys,

I graduated high school last year with a 3.5 GPA and attended college for 2 semesters ( I got a 3.87 GPA in college so far). Also, I've had straight A's through all my science classes I've taken so far. I wanted to transfer into Middlesex County College's nursing program. One of the requirements to get into the program is to take the TEAS test which you're only allowed to take once. The College states that there is no required score to receive on the test; it's just another factor that goes into their decision making process. Anyways, I have a bit of standardized test taking anxiety and I didn't do as well as I thought I would on the TEAS exam (I got a 66% it said proficient, the national & program averages are both 64%). I'm extremely anxious about getting into the college, I really, really, really want to go there. I need advise, based on my credentials what are my chances of getting in? I'm a smart hardworking student and I just want the college to see me as that, I don't want them to define me over one exam. I'm soooo anxious I just need advise.

hi!

Looks to me that they will consider you as potential candidate for their nursing program. I am a MCC nursing school alumni. I had about the same TEAS score as you (def not above). Your GPA is very good, that might actually improve your chances.

Trust yourself...

Good luck!

BTW, I loved their nursing program.

Hi I'm an Mcc student also. I'm currently studying for my teas but trying to get into a nursing program at a different school. It seems that you have a great gpa so I don't see why you should not get into the program. I have bad test anxiety also. I do better in classroom exams than state exams as most people

Hey! I'm late but did you end up getting in?

Hi p-rosie! Hows the program? How much is the tuition per nursing credit? I don't ualify for financial aid and I'm planning to apply but I'm not sure yet. Also, are u working? Is it too hard for you not to work? Sorry if I'm asking too much but I work FT in a hospital and I can't afford going to school without working. Please let me know anything..

Thank you ☺️

MCC nursing program affiliated with RBMC (Raritan Bay Medical Center) for clinical rotation> I would like know if RBMC clinical rotations are in the mornings or evenings (how flexible they are) and how many hours daily or weekly is it for the rotations and class time for NRB (nursing core courses). I want to know because I also have full time job, so I would to fine out much as possible before I make any kind of decision.

I would really appreciated if anyone can answer this in much detail as possible.

Hi there!

Did you end up applying/getting in? I know it's been a long time, so I apologize if this is weird.

Thanks!
