has anyone attended this program? i take the entrance test in april and i dont know what to expect. is it very hard? is this program any good?

Thanks NURSEGUY1 for all of your advice and pointers. It is truly appreciated!

@NurseGuy1...thanks so much! I have background in science, I have a Bachelor's in Biology, and that wasn't easy. So I think I'll manage as long as I stay focus and stay clear of the drama. Thanks for the advise.

QUESTION!

If I were to take out a loan to pay for this program and then pay it off throughout the course of the program, how would I go about doing that?

Well I've been researching where to find a loan too or a grant! No luck, so far. I found one grant but you must have 3 months of working experience in healthcare and not a member of a union. I don't qualify for that. Some loans you won't have to pay off until 6 months after you completed the program, if not enrolled in school part time. May be if you contact the Adult Center directly, may be they can provide info about financial aid. I hope that helps.

since the money we pay is considered "fees" and not "tuition" you cannot get any type of financial aid or student loans to pay for it. if you want to take out a loan you would have to just take out a personal loan from a bank and make all arrangements with them.

Thanks everyone for the advice =)

I went and registered today. I will be attending the Mid-Manhattan location.

Congrats Poettree!!! We've gotta keep in touch:yeah:

Hi Poettree. I also registered for Mid Manhattan on Monday. Looking forward to meeting and working with you same class or not.

Hey lancedac! I look forward to meeting you as well. Since we're both at Mid-Manhattan, wouldn't we be classmates? Or is it divided into multiple classes?

Hi,

I registered for the Mid-Manhattan LPN program as well. Does anyone know if any of the reading material for the LPN program is available in ebook format? I would love to just get an e-reader and avoid carrying books! or perhaps are there any e-books that you can recommend? : )

Poettree, there were multiple classes when people I know attended, at least two. Then, I think they divvied up the classes by surnames. Not sure what's happening now.

I registered for the Mid-Mahattan site today!:yeah: Too bad BK site is full.

Hey Lurious! I was thinking the same thing, but I highly doubt it. I was told you get lockers.
