is a beast! I can't keep up. I feel like it's a foreign language!
Any study tips?
I feel your pain...
I ended up doing really well on Micro but it really depends on what your professor gives you to work with...
Mine gave us a packet of bullet points of the important facts summarized so I would go through every bullet point and try to come up with a question for it and type both out on different word documents.
An example would be "1. What is a drawback of using a broad spectrum antibiotic?" "Might cause a super infection where it kills off your normal flora".
After I went through a packet I usually had about 25-30 questions and would memorize the first five by heart, then move on to the next five, then the next five, etc.
Sounds pretty simple which is what I needed to compress the micro material into a manageable class.
Good luck.
Finally got the courage to look at my grades.... B's straight across the board! I could have done much better because my prof was amazing, just didn't take enough time. But I'll accept B's with a SMILE!!! Thanks for sharing in my pain of Microbiology... can't say I'm sad to see it go! LOL:nurse:

Not to hijack the thread.. but I think colleges should drop the pre-requisite deal being that so many colleges do their pre-reqs differently. My college also requires only basic bio as pre-req to micro, however they require precalulus pre-req to basic chemistry. The pre-requisite deal should really be a suggestion by the college rather than mandated.
On the college's part, I feel they MAY do this so that if by second year you've changed your major like many people do, then you will have to spend more time/money at the university if you have to take different pre-reqs than you have already taken. Just my
