Microbiology this summer???

Can anyone give me updated info on any online Micro classes out there for this summer? I have tried the old threads, but nothing is working for me at this point... Thanks.

What exactly are you looking for in updated info? Check the local community college schedule of classes first. If you aren't lucky there, then look for the standbys, CCConline, Ocean County community college, and University of New England, to name the three mentioned here most often.

Caliotter3,

Thank you for your response. It turns out that I will be testing that one with Excelsior after all.

The EC exam was not nearly as bad as I expected. I got an A on it. :) Good luck!!

LunahRN,

Thank you for telling me that. I was a bit worried... What did you use to prepare so well to get an A? Thanks for any tips.

A book called "Microbiology Demystified," which was awesome. For parts where I thought I needed more info, I also had the recommended text. I also highly recommend the EC practice exams!

LunahRN,

I remember being tested on lots of diseases on the nursing concepts series. Is all of that re-tested on the micro exam?? I noticed alot of diseases on the content guide. I guess I am wondering if the info is basically repeat stuff. Thanks for any info. I want to test in 4weeks.. thanks.

It's been so long now that I don't remember what was on the test, but even if I did, the academic honesty policy doesn't permit me to share test content. ;) I do remember that the practice exams felt very much like the real thing, though. And it was easier than I thought it would be! Good luck.

LunahRN,

I am not asking you to disclose test content. I Just wanted to know if I should really focus on the disease areas of the content guide. I think we ask the same types of questions on Excelsior web site. But, thanks anyway. As I to do respect the Academic honesty policy. I will just continue to network here and on EPN as I am sure you remember finding them both helpful in some ways. Thanks.

I'm sure you're not. But I'd hate for anything to think it, based on this:

It's a fine line. ;) I'm sure you'll do well. Good luck!

Disregard then!!!!!!!! I don't need any drama from the powers that be!!!!!!!!!!! I don't want to be the ONE in a Million that gets into trouble for asking this type of question. As I have come to far all on my own! Just like you! I don't want to cross that FINE LINE! So you can even delete this message since I can't! Thanks.

Time to get back to reading Tortura!!!!!!!!!!!

It was merely a friendly comment, without accusation or malice; no drama required. Good luck on your exam.
