Microbiology Lab Virtual Unknown

Can anyone give me some tips on how to use the online virtual lab unknown in microbiology? I'm like, really confused how to test certain unknowns...

My problem, though, is how to use the actual program. I get that there are a lot of tests to run, and that narrows the field, but I don't know HOW and I can't figure it out. It only lets me run one test on each sample, and she keeps saying to run multiple tests until I feel like I can ID the microbe but I can't figure out how to run those other tests. The tutorial is a joke, and the manual doesn't help any more than the tutorial. The website is just as bad. I'm kind of cheesed that I had to pay for this. It took 12 days to arrive, and their customer service takes a week to respond.

Bah. What a way to run a railroad.
