Hi all,
I need some opinions. I need both micro and chem to finish up my pre reqs. My question is which one should I take first? I took Physiology and found I had a hard time in it because of all the chem in it. I didn't fully understand everything and I wound up with a C. Would taking chem first help me with micro?

I have put off chemistry till last but if I had it to do again, I would have done it first. Simply because every science class (including micro) starts off with chemistry. I'm not saying you couldn't take micro first and do just great, but it would be helpful to take chem first...in my opinion!! Good luck either way!

My school requires Chem first so I think you should take it first.

Chemistry first in my opinion. PErsonally, Micro seems to be a wrap-up class of all the pre-reqs to nursing school. For me, if I had not taken all the other science courses first, Micro would be a death sentence...

I took Micro first when I took them. It not like one class builds on the other class's concepts like math. There may be a smidge of chemistry, I don't even remember, but I found the classes essentially unrelated. So, my best advice would be take your pick, whichever that you feel mentally prepared to take on,then that would be the winner!! Good luck to you!!!
P.S. I found them both to be fun and interesting learning!

Intermediate Chem was a prereq for my school for both Micro and Physio, so I had no choice. That said, I think it is a good idea to have that background. I would recommend chem first.
