Hello,
I am moving to the Miami area. My husband was recently transferred there from where we live in KY. I know nothing about Miami, and need to know what hospitals I need to look at, also good areas to live and good schools. I have three children, the oldest being in Kindergarten.
Miami Childrens hospital has offered me a job which I am considering. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Miami Children's Hosp is a great facility, but I have issues with the neighborhood; if you want to work in a children's hospital, look at Joe Dimaggio/Hollywood Memorial, in Hollywood (~4 miles north of Dade county border). Hollywood, and the surrounding communities of Ft Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Miramar, etc., are vastly superior and more family oriented than Miami/Metro Dade County

Miami Children's hospital is a wonderful hospital in a very good neighborhood. They have day care as well. Although the address says Miami, it is about 3 blocks out of the city of Coral Gables. Coral Gables is where the UNiversity of Miami is.
Another nice hospital is Baptist Hospital. Great neighborhood to raise children. South Miami hospital is nice as well.

South Miami, Baptist and doctor's all under the same management.

I think Miami Children's Hospital is a great hospital to work for ( I should know, I work there :) ) Other area hospitals are just as nice, Baptist Hospital is one of them and so is Mercy Hospital.

I know I'm a little late with this one........but South Miami and Coral Gables are extremely expensive, exclusive neighborhoods that I would love to live in......and I live in Pembroke Pines. No comparison
