Hello,
I am applying for the transitional nursing program (FT). I have my paramedics plus all the necessary classes except for chemistry. They told me I needed to take the NLN NACE exam & the skills update course. To my understanding the NACE is basic foundations of nursing.
Can anyone tell me how hard this test can be or what I can study to help me for the test? Has anyone been accepted to this transitional FT program and how hard is it to be accepted? Any tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

So, How did you do on the test? I am assuming you have already taken it since the deadline is rapidly approaching. Have you any word on when they will be letting us know who is accepted? Have you gotten any insight on how many have applied for this specific program? I am sick to my stomach thinking an waiting for the acceptance (or denial ) to this program. How are you preparing? Also, did you take your NRG 051 class? If so, how was it?
Let me know!

Has any one entered MDC nursing bridge program. I need to take the NACE 1 exam.
This is a nursing acceleration challenge exam has any one taken this exam? Any books I should buy for review. I need your help!!!
Thanks:saint:
I haven't taken the NACE yet, don't know what its like... I've been out of town for quite some time. I have no idea how many ppl have applied or when they send those letters out. I wish I had more of a clue (or the power to stop time:D). I believe theres a book you can look at; fundamentals of nursing. Oh, & I haven't taken the nrg class... in other words, I'm way behind. I wish I could still apply & have these things pending.... does anyone have an answer to that?
What semester are you looking what applying for? You can apply and have these 2 items pending. You have to have the NACE in by the deadline but that gives you plenty of time for the Aug 2009 class. Plus, if you have everything else done, these 2 reqs are the easiest to finish. Nace test takes about 2-3 hours and the NRG class is only 5 classes.

I have a study guide geared specifically for the NACE. I cost me over 60 on the web. I'd be willing to sell it to whoever is interested..going rate $50.
if not, Im putting it on eBay!

How many pages is it? Is it a book? I wanted to go in Jan. semester, don't know if I'm going to be able to...
Well the deadline for Jan semester already passed. It was Sep 1st 2008. Maybe August? i think the deadline for that one is in May.
What kind of material do you have for sale for the ACE1 test.
Thanks
Hi sorry for the delay but Ive been wrapped in other things. I will look for the guide and let you know how many pages. It's basically one of those books that teaches you how to take the test more effectively. As for the actual, nursing content you may be able to find that in a Nursing fundamentals book. I am a Medic and a lot the patient assessment stuff was easy but I was in the dark about the "Nursing process". If I were you, Id study that.

Hello did u take the NACE exam yet, if so how was it. I need to take the test as well I need an idea of the material needed to study. THANKS
I didn't study anything and just took it to see what it was like... I was a couple points off so I need to re-do it but I couldn't beat myself up about it. I didn't know what i was up against & I don't know how to think like a nurse (I did my paramedics which is more pre hosp care). I now have a book, foundations of nursing ( which is what is recommended) to study (which i have yet to do!). so i'm kinda in the same boat, gotta take it and gotta study!
Hope this helped a little.
