Miami Dade College A.A in pre-nursing?

I'm halfway through my senior of high school, my plans were to attend Miami Dade College (I didn't do too great in high school to attend a 4 year:() and achieve my A.A in pre-nursing & then transfer to a good university to obtain my BSN. I was just wondering if this is a good idea financially and logically? Should I obtain my ASN instead?
