For Umass Boston I think we will hear by the start of the New Year. Simmons should be end of January/early February!

The session was great, but most of the students there were applying for future cohorts so they had questions about prerequisites etc.

I really liked the professor who lead the session, Dr. Suellen Breakey, she is a PhD RN and was very patient with answering all the questions and genuinely tried to make sure she gave a comprehensive answer to all the questions. She will be one of our professors, I am already very excited to have her :-) Does anyone on here know anybody who graduated from this program?

I'm getting so nervous! This is the only program I applied to. I would love to know before Christmas either way. If I don't get into this program, I'm going to need to take more prerequisites for other programs. My TEAS scores weren't excellent. Ugh, the wait it killing me!

@Piper88....I am in the same exact position as you....only program I applied to, TEAS was okay and also would need for pre requisites for other schools. I am more than nervous.

Hi there - same here, this was the program of my choice and I didn't apply to any others...

For some reason I have a feeling they will wait till after January 3rd to make decisions... Although I was hoping to hear by the holidays.

Hi Guys!

I am also applying for the summer 2018 cohort! I am finishing up my application currently before the 01/03 deadline. I'm really hoping to get in, does anyone know the if there is a prerequisite GPA requirement? I know you need at least a C minimum for each prereq. but I couldn't find any info stating if there was a prereq GPA. I am finishing my degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in mangagement and my current gpa is a 3.035. I don't have the best prereq grades but they are all at least the minimum grade and higher. I still have nutrition to complete this spring semester and I am going to be taking 26 credits. I also just finished my fall semester with 21 credits and had an overall 3.85 GPA for that semester. I know the admitions counselor told me they look for improvement so I'm really hoping thy take my improvement into consideration!

I'm applying too!

I finally sent my application in a few days ago. I managed to get it ready back for the 12/1 deadline, but then when the deadline extended, I had to keep picking at the essays. Then the deadline was extended again, and I kept picking for a few days, but for my own sanity, I just sent it.

Kind of wishing I could still pick those essays over a bit more, but I am hoping that is just my annoying inner critic being extra annoying.

And Katherina, the website FAQ says there is no minimum GPA requirement, but most GPAs fall in the mid-3s. It sounds like you've got a really solid upwards trend there. Good luck!

I called again before they closed for winter break. They said decisions will be going out depending on when you applied. For those that applied for the original November 1st deadline, decisions are going out the week of January 1st. Good luck to all!

For those who applied by the November 1st deadline, what is the status of your application?

I applied for Dec 1st deadline. When I check my app it says "Verified" and my transcripts say "Arrived." I am not sure if these should change to complete?

I applied for the Dec. 1st deadline but I know my application status changed to "complete" a few weeks ago and now it is back to "verified." I don't know why! This NursingCas application is frustrating.
