I am studying to take my HESI exam on Wednesday and I have covered just about everything but the metric conversions and measurements...I am having a hard time finding a good way to study them...Reading a list is not doing it for me. How did you do it? Which way did you find to be easiest to retain all the info needed?
Thanks in advance!

I chuck them out and straight up memorize. for ex. memorize like liters, ounces, gallons, qts, and pints together and then move up to something else.

for practice: google "metric conversion quiz"
I didn't find much that was useful under "metric conversion", but adding the quiz to the search brought up some I find useful.
for learning them well enough to use the quizes, I used visuals and kinetics.... I had some of these http://www.enasco.com/Search?q=cubic+centimeter and these http://www.enasco.com/math/Decimals+%26+Fractions/Fraction+Circles+%26+Squares/ although these http://www.enasco.com/math/Decimals+%26+Fractions/Decimal+%26+Percent+Tiles/ would be a better because it has only the tenths.
You don't have to buy the sets to get most of the benefit of the ideas... you can make them from paper or sheets of foamie stuff. Sometimes board game pieces (monopoly money? or Risk armies?) or household stuff (poker chips, colored paper clips, safty pins) can work well.
I got the ideas from teaching kids but I use the techniques myself because having something to hold and see helps no matter how old you are.
Saying problems out loud as you do them also helps for many people.
