Hi everyone! Today is the first day of the residency applications for SA METHODIST! I was hoping that all of us new grads could come here and keep each other up to date! I applied for ICU, NICU and Peds (I am a Pediatric home health LVN). I am really hoping to get a Cardiac a ICU position. I did all of my clinicals at Methodist, and met some amazing people there. I really hope I get it! It looks like there is another date for monitored care in May. If nothing comes from this round, I'll probably apply for a Tele NG position. What about you? Did you guys only apply for NICU? I want to do ICU, but I put in one for Peds since I have experience in pediatrics. I loved my Clinical rotation on the CICU at METHODIST! But I also loved the NICU rotation at Baptist. I think I am an ICU girl at heart so hopefully I get one. Did you guys sit for boards yet?

I only want a spot in NICU! I don't graduate until May 8th so I probably won't take boards until mid June.

Does anyone know what the starting pay is?

I sit for boards in April. During the new grad part it is only 16.88 and then once we finish it goes up to 22-24..I hope I can get more for having LVN experience since I make 23 right now..but if not it's ok because its my dream profession and hopefully my dream specialty. I heard that the ICU positions (including NICU) are 14-20 weeks long...idk how accurate that is.

Mellie I see that you have already accepted an ICU offer, did that fall through?

Did anyone apply to CSR Versant Program? I did, but I doubt that I will get a call back.

16? Wow, that's not very much. Also, is the per diem only during our residency and then we go full time?

Yes, only during the preceptorship. I heard that shift diff is 6.50 at night and 4.50 on weekends.

Has anyone heard anything yet? In previous posts it said that they called HR/Nurse recruiter and bothered them, but are we to wait until the meet and greet?
