I am a new grad RN from IL. I am looking into Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Does anyone know anything about this hospital? If possible, how are they with new grads?
Any info or advice about this hospital would be much appreciated.

I worked at the other hospital across the street for ten yrs. Methodist has a solid reputation in the area. Good luck
Thanks

Oh my gosh! I graduated from Methodist Medical Center School of Nursing (now college of nursing) back in 1995! I worked there for 4 years...2 as a tech and 2 as a RN. Not sure this is helpful in any way what so ever to you! Anyway. Back then it was a fantastic hospital with a great reputation and I'm willing to bet it still is. Because they own the College of Nursing, they hire a lot of new grads and have a well developed orientation plan. They also work with the U of I school of Medicine - a teaching hospital. Good luck to you! Not sure what Peoria is like these days (I've been in San Antonio for 15 years) but it's not a bad city in which to live. PS...the other hospitals are great choices too...good area for being on the forefront of medicine and nursing care.
Thanks a lot. I'm so glad to hear your experience.
