I'm like you, anxious to learn a little more about the program. I'm currently an employee and will like to get into the nursing program hopefully this upcoming Fall 2014. Although, I won't have all my BSN courses completed I should still have 31 points by May when it's time to apply. It is a little nerve wrecking to know that they only take 20 student per semester though... it's almost a little discouraging :/
I am an employee and I'm waiting to see if I have been accepted. I think I have between 27-29 pts. The point system is on page 13 of this link for El Centro Spring 2014 admission. http://www.methodisthealthsystem.org/workfiles/ElCentro/Nursing/El-Centro-Methodist-Nursing-Program-Application-spring-2014.pdf

My moms an employee and I have around those points too. Did you get a call for an interview??
Does anyone know about what questions are going to be asked for the interview? BG
This was from the Fall thread for Methodist.
I had 26 points and I'm in... As for the interview, it's a lot like a job interview... Questions such as why do you want to be a nurse? Tell me about a time or a hypothetical situation when someone asked you to do something unethical? Tell me about a time you had to do something you didn't agree with? Tell me a time when you worked in a team? Stuff like that... There were only about 8 questions....
Did you get an interview? How many points did you have?

I've created this new thread for those applying to the Methodist Nursing Program linked with El Centro. This program is for those that are employed, have immediate family members employed, and volunteers that have reached a certain amount of hours at a Methodist hospital. They only accept twenty people each semester.
Since they have changed the El Centro Curriculum I'm not sure how the new point system is going to work. Has anybody else heard anything new about this program?
Thank you!
